Kapil Sharma is an Indian stand-up comedian, television host, actor, dubbing artist, producer and singer. Sharma is the host on the stand-up comedy and talk show The Great Indian Kapil Show and The Kapil Sharma Show and has received five Indian Television Academy Awards.
These days Kapil Sharma is also trying to host an Antyakshari program of Colors TV but in view of his diminishing brand value, getting sponsors for this program is a big challenge. Stand-up comedian turned show host and then program producer Kapil Sharma’s OTT game plan is complete. Netflix has decided to stop its new show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’.

According to OTT sources, the last episode of the show has been shot and only after that the set of the show has started to be removed. Kapil Sharma has been paid around Rs 5 crore per show for the show, while Sunil Grover, the show’s most acclaimed actor, has received just Rs 25 lakh per episode.
To estimate how much money Netflix has shelled out for the show, it’s enough to know that the revelation that Archana Puran Singh was paid Rs 10 lakh per episode to make her laugh on the sofa has created a stir in Netflix.
It is to be noted that the team of the Netflix web series had arranged a special meeting with the team of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ when its boss Bela Bajaria came to India a week ago. It is said that Bela Bajaria had decided to close the show while leaving India due to the lack of positive atmosphere among the audience regarding the show despite its huge budget.
With the arrival of Bela Bajaria, there was a lot of excitement in Netflix’s Mumbai office. The cast of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ along with the show’s host Kapil Sharma along with his co-stars Sunil Grover, Archana Puran Singh and Rajeev Thakur also got a chance to meet Bela.
