Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on the Delhi-Noida border due to farmers’ protests. The protests, organized by the Bharatiya Kisan Parishad (BKP) and other farmer groups, aim to pressure the central government to address their demands.
Traffic Disruptions and Diversions
Several parts of Delhi and Noida have been affected by the protests. Long queues of vehicles can be seen on roads like the Chilla Border and DND Flyway. The Noida Police have issued a traffic advisory, suggesting alternative routes for commuters:

- DND Border to Delhi: Film City Flyover, Sector-18, Uncha Rasta.
- Kalindi Border to Delhi: Mahamaya Flyover, Sector-37.
- Greater Noida to Delhi: Charkha Golchakkar, Kalindi Kunj or Hajipur Underpass via Sector-51 and Model Town.
- Yamuna Expressway Traffic: Exit at Jewar Toll, then via Khurja and Jahangirpur.
- Peripheral Expressway Traffic: Use Dadri or Dasna exits instead of Sirsa.

Farmers’ Demands
The protesting farmers, under the banners of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), are demanding:
- Compensation and benefits under the old Land Acquisition Act.
- Four times the market rate compensation for land acquired after January 1, 2014.
- Jobs and rehabilitation benefits for landless farmers’ children.
- Government orders on issues passed by a high-level committee.
- Proper disposal of waste in populated areas.
BKP leader Sukhbir Khalifa stated, “We are ready for our march towards Delhi. We will start the march from the Mahamaya Flyover in Noida. By afternoon, we will reach Parliament House to demand compensation and benefits under the new laws.”

Security has been tightened in the national capital, with traffic police checking vehicles at various checkpoints.
