Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been seeing sharing a good relationship with the Prime Minister of India. He also expressed his gratitude towards Narendra Modi in several meetings. He is set to announce plans for his investment in India, amounting to $2-3 billion, as per the reports.
The investment will be directed towards establishing a new factory in the country. The announcement will be made during Musk’s upcoming visit to New Delhi next week, where he is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to the sources.
Musk will have a meeting with different with different Spacetech setups in India. The government has invited many of the Spacetech startups including Skyroot Aerospace, Dhruva Space, Piersight, Digantara, SatSure and KaleidEO for talks with Musk during his India visit.

Musk on X, earlier known as Twitter, said, “Looking forward to meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India!” This is not the first time that the two will meet. In 2015, Modi toured Tesla Motors’ factory in California during his trip to the US, where he first met Musk.
Modi and Musk met again in 2023 in New York City.
“I am a fan of Modi. It was a fantastic meeting & I like him quite a lot… I’m incredibly excited about the future of India. India has more promise than any large country in the world,” Musk said at that time.
Also, Elon Musk has also been seen in supporting India for having its permanent seat in UNSC. He tweeted in support of India and wrote
“At some point, there needs to be a revision of the UN bodies… India not having a permanent seat on the Security Council, despite being the most populous country on Earth, is absurd. Africa collectively should also have a permanent seat imo.”
